Terms of Service
Please read these Terms of Service (“Terms”) carefully before using the TidyHomes website or booking any service. By accessing our website or placing a booking, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use our services.
These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you (“Customer”, “you”) and TidyHomes Services Pte Ltd (UEN 201812345A), a company incorporated in Singapore (“TidyHomes”, “we”, “us”).
1. Services
TidyHomes provides professional home cleaning, aircon servicing, upholstery cleaning, carpet cleaning, and handyman services (“Services”) to residential customers in Singapore. The specific scope of each service is described on our website and confirmed in your booking.
All Services are performed by trained staff or approved contractors. We reserve the right to assign any qualified team member to your booking. Where possible, we will accommodate preferences for a consistent team.
2. Bookings and confirmation
A booking is confirmed only when you receive a written confirmation from TidyHomes via WhatsApp, SMS, or email. Verbal agreements do not constitute a confirmed booking. We reserve the right to decline any booking at our discretion.
You are responsible for ensuring that the information provided at the time of booking (property address, access instructions, service requirements) is accurate and complete.
3. Pricing and payment
All prices displayed on our website are in Singapore Dollars (SGD) and inclusive of GST where applicable. Quoted prices are based on the information provided at the time of booking. Additional charges may apply if the scope of work differs materially from what was described (e.g. a significantly larger property, heavily soiled conditions, or additional tasks requested on-site).
Any additional charges will be communicated and agreed upon before work commences. Payment is due upon completion of the service unless otherwise agreed in writing.
4. Cancellations and rescheduling
- More than 24 hours before the appointment: Free cancellation or rescheduling.
- Within 24 hours of the appointment: A cancellation fee of 30% of the booking value applies.
- Same-day cancellation or no-show: A cancellation fee of 50% of the booking value applies.
- Illness: We waive cancellation fees if you are unwell — please notify us as early as possible.
TidyHomes reserves the right to cancel or reschedule a booking due to unforeseen circumstances (including staff illness, equipment failure, or severe weather). We will notify you as soon as practicable and offer a full refund or alternative appointment.
5. Your responsibilities
To ensure a safe and effective service, you agree to:
- Provide safe access to the property at the agreed time
- Secure or remove fragile, valuable, or sentimental items prior to the service
- Disclose any known hazards (e.g. pest infestations, mould, structural damage, biohazards) before the service begins
- For general cleaning bookings: ensure standard cleaning equipment (vacuum, mop, and detergents) is available at the property
- Ensure pets are secured and do not interfere with our staff during the service
- Not request our staff to perform tasks that are outside the agreed scope, unsafe, or unlawful
6. Service satisfaction and re-clean policy
We take quality seriously. If you are not satisfied with any aspect of the service, please notify us in writing (WhatsApp or email) within 24 hours of the service completion. We will arrange a re-clean of the disputed areas at no additional charge, subject to the following conditions:
- The complaint is raised within 24 hours of service completion
- The disputed areas have not been used, altered, or cleaned by other parties since our visit
- The issue is within the scope of the original booking
Complaints raised after 24 hours, or where the above conditions are not met, will be assessed on a case-by-case basis. The re-clean guarantee does not apply to conditions that were pre-existing, structurally embedded (e.g. permanent stains, mould ingress), or caused by third parties.
7. Damage and liability
Our staff exercise reasonable care when performing services. In the event that damage to your property is caused directly and demonstrably by our staff during a service, please notify us in writing within 48 hours with photographic evidence. We will investigate and, where liability is established, arrange for repair or fair compensation at our discretion.
TidyHomes' liability is limited to the value of the booking in question. We are not liable for:
- Pre-existing damage or wear and tear
- Damage to unsecured, fragile, or improperly assembled items
- Indirect, consequential, or economic losses
- Loss or damage where access was not properly granted or hazards were not disclosed
Nothing in these Terms limits our liability for death, personal injury caused by our negligence, or fraud.
8. Prohibited conduct
You must not:
- Request our staff to perform illegal activities or tasks that compromise their safety or wellbeing
- Harass, abuse, or intimidate our staff
- Directly solicit or hire any TidyHomes staff member for private work during or after a booking, without our written consent. A referral fee of S$500 applies if a customer directly engages a TidyHomes staff member within 12 months of their last booking.
- Misrepresent your property, requirements, or identity when making a booking
9. Intellectual property
All content on the TidyHomes website — including text, images, logos, and design — is the property of TidyHomes Services Pte Ltd or its licensors and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or use our content without prior written permission.
10. Privacy
Your use of our services is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. By using our services, you consent to the collection and use of your personal data as described in the Privacy Policy.
11. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Singapore. Any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms shall first be referred to mediation under the Singapore Mediation Centre. If mediation is unsuccessful, the dispute shall be submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Singapore courts.
For disputes involving amounts not exceeding S$20,000, you may refer the matter to the Small Claims Tribunals.
12. Changes to these Terms
We may revise these Terms at any time. The updated Terms will be posted on our website with a revised “Last updated” date. Your continued use of our services after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
